CapitaLand Development (CLD) has launched the third edition of its “Step for Kindness” campaign in Hanoi, supported by CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF). In partnership with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, the initiative seeks to rally public support and improve the lives of children and youth through education and outreach programmes.
Through a charity walk, the program seeks to raise awareness of the importance of education, reduce school dropout rates, and provide sustainable learning opportunities for underprivileged children.
“Step for Kindness” is part of CHF’s annual #GivingAsOne campaign, which encourages CLD’s employees, partners, and customers to take collective action for the community. This initiative also reinforces CapitaLand’s commitment to sustainable development in Vietnam.
Following the success of previous events, this year’s campaign will run from 26.06.2025 until 12.10.2025, culminating in a grand outdoor community event at Ocean City, Hanoi. CHF pledges to contribute US$97,000 (over VND2.4 billion) once the community achieves the combined target of 400 million online steps from the social media initiative and 40 million event steps from the outdoor community event.
CapitaLand Development (CLD) officially launches the “Step for Kindness” 2025 campaign in Hanoi – marking the second time this meaningful event is held in the capital, in partnership with the CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF). Continuing its collaboration with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, the campaign aims to mobilize the community to support disadvantaged children and youth in Vietnam. Through a charity walk, the program seeks to raise awareness of the importance of education, reduce school dropout rates, and provide sustainable learning opportunities for underprivileged children.

Following the success of previous events, this year’s campaign will run from 26.06.2025 until 12.10.2025, culminating in a grand outdoor community event at Ocean City, Hanoi. CHF pledges to contribute USD 10,000 (approximately VND 260,000,000) once the community achieves the campaign goal of [40,000,000 steps from the social media initiative] and [400,000 steps from the outdoor event].
The “Connection Route – 2 km” offers a short yet energetic journey, starting at Whale Square and winding along Pearl Saltwater Lake and Crystal Lagoon. Surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air, this route provides a refreshing and relaxing nature experience – a perfect way for families to enjoy an inspiring weekend morning. The path also passes through Hai Au streets, showcasing panoramic views of the modern urban township.
Open to all ages and fitness levels, this route includes fun rest stops for quick breaks or energy boosts. Get ready to take part in this meaningful outdoor community event where every step symbolizes a shared act of kindness.
The “Sharing Route – 5 km” enhances your experience with a scenic route showcasing the township’s finest landscapes. Starting from Whale Square, participants will walk around the clear waters of Pearl Saltwater Lake, cross the serene Crystal Lagoon, and explore the expansive green park – the “green lungs” of the township. A highlight is VinUniversity, a Gothic architectural masterpiece harmonizing modern and classical design.
This route not only promotes wellness but also offers opportunities to admire surrounding natural beauty and iconic architecture. Along the way, you’ll encounter fun rest stops and obstacle zones to keep your journey engaging and a little challenging. Step into this shared experience to create greater value for the community – where every step is an act of generosity and compassion.
